Edward McAuley, professor of kinesiology

Congratulations to Prof Eddie McAuley who has been selected by campus’ Social and Behavioral Science Research Council (SBRC) for the Outstanding Career Achievement Award.

Dr. McAuley’s research focuses on the relationship between physical activity participation and psychological, cognitive, and physical functioning in older adults.  His scholarship is directed at developing strategies for healthy aging.  Eddie has published widely across a variety of disciplinary and interdisciplinary journals and books, and has been continuously funded by the NIH for most of his career.

The awards ceremony will be on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Presentation  @ 5:00) in the Illini Union Ballroom and is open to all.

It’s well-deserving that the selection for the inaugural SBRC Outstanding Career Achievement Award is Prof Eddie McAuley.
