As we get older, exercise often becomes less and less a part of our daily lives. But, according to Kinesiology and Community Health Professor Edward McAuley, getting enough physical exercise and sticking to a regular exercise routine becomes particularly important as we age. In this video, McAuley shows how the participants in his Exercise Psychology Lab are reaping multiple health benefits from flexibility and toning training and even something as simple as a brisk walk. Professor McAuley is a member of the Human Perception and Performance group at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
